I joined the bandwagon!

I made a sock!!! It wasn't that hard, except for one incident of not reading English properly and knitting along happily and illiterately... and having to rip out about 15 rows of work. Leaving out words like "every other row" can be very destructive. In my attempts to repair said mistake, I ended up with a "ventilated" area that I am hoping to tighten up when I weave in my ends.

All this is in preparation for SockWars 2006!! It begins September 22, and I thought perhaps I had better knit at least one sock before entering a competition involving sending socks to others. Remember playing Assassin in the dorms in college? SockWars is similar, only instead of shaking hands to eliminate your target, you send them socks. She who knits fast, knits last! I can't wait!!! I also can't wait to finish sock #2 so that I can wear them. With the weather cooling down (it is cooling down soon, isn't it?), I'm looking forward to curling up on the couch with my handknit socks on to keep me warm.
