Balls...

I actually had the focus to knit through an entire ball of yarn without switching to another project in between sessions... Wow!! I may finally have my project ADD under firm- This scarf will require one or two more balls of the same yarn, so after I finished the first ball last night and prepared the second, and then made some mistakes and frogged a bit and reknit some stuff, I put down the pink and started another of THE SAME SCARF but with some very cush expensive (for me, though these skeins had about 4 times the yardage as most yarns I buy, so maybe it wasn't so expensive after all) Cherry Tree Hill supermerino in Serengeti and Java... Of course, it was about 10pm when I cast that one on, and it is still too short to show off...

But here is the pink one. About 3 rows into the second ball.

Before and After

Here is the before and after of a felted bag I started AGES ago... It turned out to be a very strange shape and proportions... but that's because I was tired of looking at it in my UFO (unfinished object) pile and I settled for making something out of what was already knitted...

Of course, while it is drying I can't show the scale change, but it did shrink down quite a bit. I'll show you later...

Behind the scenes

I know I haven't posted much lately, but that is mostly due to the volume of knitting I have been doing. And that is a great reason not to post on a "Look what I made" blog... because for a change, I can actually say, "LOOK WHAT I MADE!!"

About 6 inches of Pat's sweater... only 7 more inches to go before the armhole shaping... Sheesh!

A baby shrug... It makes more sense on a baby. I tried it on my sock monkey, and he has never looked cuter. Or more gay.

My first piece of lace knit... I already have two people who have said they want one, too. Here is a close-up of the color...

And last, but not least, my first pair of baby socks... and before you ask, no, there is no particular reason I've been knitting a lot of baby things.

Out of Controll!!!

I can't stop starting! Starting new projects is just so satisfying!!! This one was so fun to start that I keep starting new details for it. First I started knitting it, then I started felting it, and then I started beading it... Where will it end? With me starting tearing it to shreds when it becomes too gaudy and garish?

But I love this! I started with the Amelia Earhart cap from Head Huggers... well, and then it was all just compulsive from there.
