Today I made peace.

I signed up for myspace after all. It is going to make planning a high school reunion so much easier! And after all my bitching and paranoia... it does seem kinda fun.

I give up.

I went home at lunch today, mostly to sleep off a migraine from this morning... but I checked the mail (on arrival and on departure) and the mail has not come yet... so it is unclear as to whether or not I have survived to round 2 of Sock Wars... I am waiting both for my victims half-knit socks and my assassin's death strike. Which will arrive first and how soon? Soon enough to finish another pair and off another honorable knitter? We shall see. Oh yes, we shall see.

Bugging you again:
I have a question about your post here http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=22936647&postID=114857426160777239

Did you do ribbing all the way up the hat like it looks like in the orignal picture, or did you do stockinette stitching like the instructions say??
I'm confused...

Well, I did stockingnet stitch... So I guess I was following the instructions, but I didn't notice until now that the photo is ribbed all the way up... Very Interesting *stroking non-existant Freud beard* Stockingnet worked fine, though... I suppose, since it's just a rectangle sewed up the sides, that any pattern would probably work. Also, to reduce the amount of work, you could knit it in the round and then do a three-needle bind off at the top. This is probably more info than you needed...

How long have you been knitting?

I've been knitting like crazy for the past couple months. I played at it for a year before... but didn't ever make anything.

So, only recently. I'm still learning.
I had to go look up what stockinette stitch meant.

I don't know exactly what it is about knitting, but it has taken hold in my life in a way that other hobbies have not... I've been knitting for about 2 years now. No boredom. No frustration. Nothing but the wish that I had more time to knit with. :)
